Peringa Park is a cherished community open space and part of it has been leased by Fitzroy Golf Club for use as a golf course and club rooms since 1932. The current lease is due to expire in 2023 and NPDC has been working with Fitzroy Golf Club, Ngati Tawhirikura Hapū, and representatives of the local community to develop a new 15-year lease proposal and a draft concept plan for consideration by the wider public.
