Mangati/Parklands roundabout

To improve the safety of all road users and future-proof for growing traffic volumes, NPDC is testing a proposed upgrade at the Bell Block intersection of Mangati Road and Parklands Avenue by installing a temporary, painted, roundabout.

The intersection has a history of crashes/near misses and will only get busier with the development of the Area Q residential area (between Bell Block and New Plymouth Airport), so we want to make sure traffic can flow smoothly even as Bell Block’s population grows.

Now that the intersection’s new layout has been in operation for a while, we’d like to hear your feedback on how well it is working. Your comments will help us decide if a permanent roundabout should be installed, or if we should choose another option to improve road users’ experience and safety. Please send us your feedback.
