My principal place of residence is in the Waitara Community Board area.
Pairo McLeod is Waitara born and breed. Through his whānau, friends and networks in the community, he feels a great connection to Waitara. Pairo is passionate about rangatahi and empowering them to be the leaders of the next generation.
While working at Waitara High School, he encourages rangatahi in their efforts to achieve their full potential. He was a founding member of the group that established Te Hōkai Mua, a youth organisation, in Waitara. By demonstrating what it means to be from Waitara and to be proud of where they come from, this group hopes to inspire rangatahi. Pairo strengthens leadership and creates better futures for everyone by encouraging, supporting, and advocating for people of all abilities to be their best selves.
Pairo is eager to serve as a voice for all in the Waitara Community while fostering the mana of our rangatahi for the future.
